Charlie “Chuck” Harkin, better known as CORDIUM, is a 23 year old self taught producer and DJ from Columbus, Ohio. After hearing artists like Skrillex and Flume, CORDIUM instantly had a calling to electronic music. At the young age of 14 he started learning to produce and shortly after that, DJ. Often not focusing on one particular sound or genre, CORDIUM prides himself on “genrebending”.
His productions are inspired by multiple different styles of electronic music and blended into his own style, looking to take the listener on a journey. At the beginning of 2021 CORDIUM (formerly Æ) released his debut project “The Art of Imperfection”. Following that, he released the “By Any Means” EP on The Wub Tub in 2022, and self-released the “New Level” EP in March of 2023. As well as projects, he has crafted many singles and remixes, with tracks released with What? Collective, Bass Cult, and AY YO TRIP.
CORDIUM has supported artists such as Khiva, Molokai, Peekaboo, sumthin sumthin, LYNY, Esseks & Tiedye Ky, and more. Other than supporting artists, he has played at Breakaway Ohio and Lost Lands. A CORDIUM live set brings you through a deep range of sounds, with him playing everything from halftime, experimental bass, drum and bass, and more.
